    McCain’s Verbal Slip…

It is funny, except for one thing. I resent McCain calling himself a conservative. He is NOT a conservative, a registered Republican yes, but in no way is he a Conservative. He has NOT earned that right!

I think he’s quite accurate. He IS a proud liberal Republican.

Oops, I hate it when that happens…

It’d be funny except for the fact that he’s

    not a conservative

not a liberal (any more than any of the current crop of tyrannical, regressive statist) leftists are really liberal

certainly not a conservative liberal as were the Founders (see Edmund Burke’s marvelous description of the Colonists in his March 5, 1775 speech before Parliament)

[...] Don’t you hate it when the tongue gets all tied up. Some say it’s a freudian slip. Two words from two different points got mixed up that’s all. I can understand it because I have made similar slips in speech. However, it’s too funny to pass up and expresses what many conservatives have surmised. So here it is for what it is worth. HT Stop the ACLU. [...]

Are you people who call your selves “conservatives” really old school Eisenhower Republicans or Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld neo-cons? Because there is a big difference.

McCain is a blend of liberal and conservative ideas. So technically, he’s right on both counts.

McCain’s true colors come out, all he wants to talk about is Iraq; what about the rest of America’s problems? Talk about if your going to give amnesty to the illegals or his relationship to the “Tri-Lateral Commission” and their agenda. I’m a Conservative that hasn’t been sold on McCain

Being half conservative and half liberal is about as valuable as being half pregnant or half faithful to your wife. That is the exact point with Mccain and the GOP playing liberal lite -there is no such thing. You either are conservative and uphold conservative values and principles or you don’t - McCain doesn’t and isn’t.

Heck - FDR, LBJ, and JFK all were strong on war.But that didn’t make them conservatives.
