America Is Still The Greatest Nation On Earth

In a post on my blog, I noted that a feminist was outraged about a cartoon (!!!) because the only female character was killed off in order to set up the plot.
Now, let’s ignore the fact that virtually every Disney or Disney-related movie has followed this same pattern since the animated movie hit the scene in the 1930s (and life went on normally, I would add), let’s talk about the overall message of movies like this and what children can (and should) take away from them.
Movies like this teach children that no matter what they have going against them — even the loss of their parents — they can still succeed in life. Let’s look at some “dead parents” and what happened to their kids (granted, in a Disney or Disney-related movie, success is “living happily ever after.” You can scoff at that, but it’s still a success.):
Bambi’s mom was killed early in the picture. What happened? Yeah, he becomes the “Prince of the Forest” (whatever the hell that is).
Finding Nemo. Mom is killed early on, and to top it off, little Nemo is handicapped (fin). Nemo is then captured by an Australian dentist. Two things from this movie: first, it’s an adventure for the dad, who learns how to be a parent AND that if you’re determined to do something, then nothing can stop you. Second, Nemo finds out that he can overcome his handicap.
Cinderella. No parents, has the evil stepmother and the wicked stepsisters pushing her around. Fairy godmother gives her some new clothes and some fancy footwear, and she’s the belle of the ball. Granted, her “success” in this movie is finding a husband and being able to tell her tormentors to “fack off”, but it’s still a success.
Dumbo. Mom isn’t killed, but goes bat-s##t crazy when someone threatens (to her) Dumbo. She’s locked up, so she’s basically out of the picture. What happens to Dumbo? Two words: “Flying Elephant”. Yeah, not realistic, but the message of success is still there.
The Little Mermaid. Mother is nowhere to be found, but dad is there, tough and protecting as ever (maybe even “smothering”). Ariel has the dream of being human and, through a deal with an evil witch, she gets her wish … temporarily. She makes use of this ‘gift’ and lands the prince. Dad sees how happy she is and makes her fully human (awww!). Thus, she lives “happily ever after”.
I could go on and on, but you know the cartoons as well as I do (probably even better), so I’ll spare you the details. The point is, every one of these movies throws the main character a massive curveball for them to deal with, and it’s how they deal with it that’s important. NONE of them sit back and say “oh, woe is me!” and resign themselves to their fate.
There was a time in this country when people not only believed the message these kinds of movies sent, they lived them. That all changed when modern-day liberalism reared its head.
You see, this is a message that liberals cannot afford to have out there because it’s dangerous to their political philosophy, and they can’t have that. Liberals honestly believe that no, you can’t win in these situations and should just resign yourself to the inevitable, that you need to turn to the government and whatnot to make it through your pathetic existence. Just remember Hillary’s tome, “It Takes A Village” and you immediately know what I’m talking about.
They cook up these conspiracy theories, these ‘hidden agenda against female characters’ memes to discredit the overall message, and libs who like to pat themselves on the back for “caring” fall all over themselves, saying “Yeah, that’s sooooo true!” It’d be a joke if they weren’t so serious.
Personally, I think this is still by far, the greatest nation ever to exist on earth. No matter what libs will tell you, we still live in a country where you can be anything you want to be and you can do anything you set out to do. All you need is the determination and the drive to make it happen. If you’re serious about it, there’s literally nothing that can stand in your way, because you won’t let it get in your way.
Too many people today just give up, thinking that it’s too hard or it’s not worth it. They’re content to just exist, not live a real life. That’s because liberalism has poisoned whatever motivation, drive, and determination that people may have had, the very things that our parents and grandparents had in spades. Nobody handed them anything, and they went out and worked for it. Lives actually lived in full, in other words.
Ask your parents or grandparents and they’ll tell you that nothing worthwhile is ever easy. If you really want to live the American Dream, it’s out there for you … you just have to be serious about it and work for it. Nobody is going to hand it to you, even though liberals promise, time and time again, to do just that.
For some, the American Dream is riches galore. For others, it’s a nice house or a nice car. Others, it’s family and friends. Whatever your belief, just look around this country for proof that the American Dream is alive and well. People who rose from nothing to greatness. People who lived in poverty that are now rich beyond belief. People who had little or no education, yet are doing very well for themselves and their family. Chances are that you know someone personally that faced adversity, yet they overcame it because of their own desire to succeed. It happened to them, and it can certainly happen to you, too … you just have to want it and work for it.
These cartoons send that message to our children and, as they say, our children are our future. It’s a message that we should be getting more of from Hollywood, but don’t, because liberals run Hollywood, and they have a rather skewed view of the world from Beverly Hills. Liberals love to mock these kinds of messages but, make no mistake, their mockery is done out of fear. They know that if people start listening to the message once again, they’ll begin to look within themselves to make their lives better instead of the government. And when that happens, the liberal movement as we know it is dead, ready to be buried alongside its communist forefathers.

ABC ie Disney is a loyal liberal corporation. They aid and abet the liberal movement. So this is just infighting within the liberal movement. I would say that the feminist are attempting to gain more power.

Yes, but try telling that to a liberal. They think Chris Matthews and Tim Russert are conservatives, that CNN, ABC, CBS, etc., are all right-leaning networks. I’m not joking.
Excellent post. I agree. Often times I get slammed for stating that with all it’s faults, we are still the greatest nation in the world. Otherwise why are so many literaly dying to get here? Liberals would like nothing better than complete government control and nothing but social programs. They are afraid of personal responsibility and think that the solution is to create more taxes and redistribute the wealth to “balance” the economy. In a country that was founded on rights and doing only as well as you are willing to work, these ninnies come in and say “that’s all great, but now we are taking some of that money you have earned and we’re gonna give it to this person who has no intention of EVER becoming a positive and contributing member of society”. I cry foul! That is not the America our ancestors dreamed of. A country that will be once again, dependant on it’s government. They wanted more for us.
