Prostitute Snorted Cocaine Off Infant’s Stomach While Breastfeeding

Posted on October 2, 2007

Here is your white trash outrage of the day!

woman had her 5-year-old daughter and 2-month-old son with her as she took drugs and performed sex for money, New York police said.

Wendy Cook, 37, of Saratoga was arrested along with four other women during a prostitution sweep early Monday, according to Schenectady Police Lt. Brian Kilcullen.

Cook was arrested when she offered to perform a sex act on an undercover officer for money, Kilcullen said.

While Cook’s children were in the car with her, she performed sex acts on at least two men for money, smoked crack cocaine in the car and even snorted cocaine off the infant’s stomach while she was breastfeeding, Kilcullen said.

Cook is in Schenectady County Jail without bail on charges of prostitution and child endangerment, pending a court appearance Tuesday. Her children were turned over to family members.

Thank goodness her kids are being taken care of. This is another example of how the argument that drugs only affect the user and dealer is fatally flawed. Just. Plain. Sick.

The argument that drugs only affect the user is preposterous, and only shows that the speaker has no experience with drugs and drug users. As an attorney, I can tell you that 90% of the criminals that get appointed to me did their crime while under the influence of drugs, or because they needed money for drugs (burglary, robbery, assault). 100% of the removal-of-children-by-the-State cases that I have had revolve around parental substance abuse issues (and when parents are abusing substances, children eat spoiled food, walk around in dirty diapers, live and sleep in filthy clothes and bedding, don’t learn to read, etc.).

Yes, but no less preposterous than the argument that a certain behavior must be banned because it leads some people to act illegally.

Your pretty statistics carry little weight in a rational discussion, because you’re approaching it from the wrong direction.

So? There are already laws against all of that stuff. Convict the abusive parents based on them.

The relevant statistic is “Of all the people that use drug Z, occasionally or habitually, how many proceed to break laws?

But that number is too low to support your case, so you conveniently didn’t mention it.

That is not shocking it happens everyday and she will most likely get out and do it all over again. It’s people like this who just don’t care about life or anyone else even there own it’s sad.

Since it is obvious drugs effect those around the user this example would not serve to convince those who say drugs are a victimless crime that they are wrong. Denial is a hard thing to get over for an addict of any type.
