Info on Intervening in the ACLU NSA Lawsuit

Posted on January 20, 2006

Update: We are no longer taking donations, or pursuing this case. All donors have been contacted, and unless they tell me otherwise, will be fully refunded.

So you want to get involved with us as an intervening party against the ACLU in their case challenging the NSA? Here is what to do.

Email Debbie Schlussel with the following information. Via Debbie Schlussel’s site:

I will need everyone’s complete name and contact info (full name, phone number, e-mail address, complete U.S. snailmail address–you must be a U.S. citizen). If you have e-mailed me regarding this, I will respond via e-mail to you over the weekend and into next week, with an affidavit to sign (with notarized signature) and a brief agreement saying you agree to have me represent you in court for this matter and that I will not charge you any fees.

Debbie has agreed to do this service for America completely free, however the filing fee for the affidavit will be $250.00, and there will be other fees. I think we should take up a donation for her, and this worthy cause. Surely, we can come up with at least $250.00 for this noble cause. I will update this post as the donations come in until we reach the goal. I think we could give her a little extra over the $250.00 just for doing this. Don’t you think it is worth it?

Donations so far, after subtracting paypal’s cut. $1,498.43 Thank you!

A special thanks to Michelle Malkin for helping out with this, and for the nice donation to get things rolling. :)

I sent in a donation. And as a former NSA employee, let me assure you all that this organization has neither the time, resources, nor the inclination to sit around listening to Joe Everyman talk to his wife about the grocery list.

This is a political strawman if ever there was one.

I asked this over on the other thread, how are you going to show that you don’t have a generalized grievance per Lujan v. Defenders of wildlife?

    Jay,
just donated and will contact Debbie tonight when I get home. Thank you for taking the lead on this. Bout’ time people in this country stand up against the ACLU. It is quite apparent that our Congress Critters won’t.

Oh Gee, I found her address. Sorry, embarrassed look. I came from MM blog and when I saw the news, I hit the donation pay pal link, and in all my excitment, I over looked the link to Debbie. I was wondering why Jay didn’t link her address. LOL

    Sorry…duh..okay, Debbie has my information.

    Thanks!!!

    and Stop the ACLU

(and, no, our congress critters are not going to do anything)

The ACLU, should go live in Iran, or some where like that, and then they could get a taste of the socialism, that they keep trying to shove down everyone elses thoath. Aclu, get out of our country, we are not about to allow you to complete the mission you have set for yourself.

I am glad some one is opposing the leftwing agenda of the ACLU. We are at war and we need all the intelligence we can gather. The liberals call it domestic spying but it is a lie We are spying on the enemy agents amongst us. If the ACLU prevails we can look to our major cities being vaporized.

    Wanna bet?

If you want to get a closer look at the slimeballs who are spearheading this anti-American effort, go to Debbie Schlussel’s website:

    http://www.debbieschlussel.com/archives/2006/01/info_on_interve.html

The ACLU has crossed the line from enemy sympathiser to enemy aider and comforter. Sobering stuff, especially when you consider the recent news about Iran’s nuclear program.

I have read the paranoia-based lawsuits of the ACLU and Center for Constitutional Rights [pdf viewer required]. If the NSA is monitoring those they are communicating with who are suspected of having ties with al Qaeda, I say we should use that information to kill the enemy. After the war, we can send ‘thanks for calling’ notes to their lawyers. I will even raise the money for the stationary and postage and volunteer to sign each note.
