Thanks, and you get my vote for the most retarded commenter on my site.
Congratulations! You have my vote and keep up up the great work.
PM
CommieRebel and Nolf: you recieve my vote for the best American, as uneducated posts such as yours win the radical right election after election, despite current pipe dreams that Hillary will win in 2008. America has spoken, and it has said: Liberals suck. Thanks for all your help. Move to the third-world country north of you, as America will only get more intolerant from here on out.
Congrats on making the finals.
and Noff I don’t think Retard is politically correct these days you retard.
Can’t you just FEEL the love? (You got my vote — keep making ‘em mad!)
This nomination reinforces the fact that in America — and more specifically, in an idiot-strewn blogosphere with no real standards — sheer blunt force and mindless repetition is, in the “minds” of many, an adequate substitute for meaningful content, accuracy, and credibility. You and your pals do deserve credit for being tireless, but then again so do worker bees and they don’t stop to think about what they’re actually doing either.
There was a time I myself would have voted for Bush, but those of you deluded enough to think that the ever-burgeoening criticism of the current president heralds voter backfire are impressive in your own sad right (no pun intended). Consider yourselves lucky that elections for prez are held only every four years, because right now the citizens of the U.S. wouldn’t elect anyone connected with Bush (who won last time by a narrow margin over a useless Democrat and didn’t win honestly in 2000) to a local school-board position.
Anyway, even if this site included bloggers with the willingness to fact-check, the abominable writing alone disqualifies it from being considered for citation by any credible entity. “Weblogawards.org”? Yaaaaaaaaaaay. Maybe I’ll register the domain name “superduperweblogs.org” and nominate my and Nölff’s sites for “Best Blogs of the New Millennium.”
Keep up the good work Jay. You know that I voted for you. The comment from the _ _ _ __ _s in comments 1,3, & 4 just goes to prove you are doing your job.
The more comments you get like this just goes to show how low some people get, those two are lower than Fidel Castro.
Merry Christmas one and all. I haven’t read all of this blog I’ll be honest, hey not enough time in the world to read this and be one of Fidel’s underlings. Hey even the mighty Sauron had his minnions do his dirty work. But just excatly how does this cover a law blog and not a religous zealot blog or even a conservative blog?
To say no one would vote for Bush now is another pipe dream by the idiot left. Just because a poll says people are pissed off about Iraq doesn’t mean its true, and doesn’t mean a Liberal Dem would be elected. In case you missed it last night, they don’t even like each other. By the way, prove Bush won illegally in 2000. You can’t. Because we have rules, and that pisses you off. The narrow margin in 2004 was only a couple of MILLION so yeah you got me there. Criticizing Bush based on lies from the idiot left won’t get Dems elected. Keep smoking crack.
Hey Sneaky Bastard this blog is against the ACLU which is the most immoral anti american law firm in the world, so why is it not a law blog. Religion is not the only thing that is talked about on this blog.
hey I dunno, I just came here for the ride
Well, you just KNOW I voted for you… I have you linked in MY favs and you’re on the American Conservative Web Ring and we have to support each others sites, ALL the Conservatives need to…
Best of luck, hope ya make it to the BIG ONE…
Hey Sneaky: If you can’t bicker about it its know fun, right?
“its know fun”
This from someone freely slinging around the term “idiot” and telling others to put down the crack pipe. I love it. Elmer Fudd surfs the Internet!
Palm Beach County is overwhelmingly Democrat, and you can rest assured that just about all of those addled old people whose votes were discounted thanks to the procedural miscues supported Gore, who would have been as bad a president as Bush but at least isn’t a cokehead and doesn’t pretend to receive messages from imaginary skyfags.
Do you really think a Nazi like Pat Buchanan would legitimately attract a quarter of the vote in a place filled with Jews? Please. This is water over the bridge now, but common knowledge to those not glued to FOX “News” and misinformation pudsucker sites like StoptheACLU.com.
On it!
Good luck!
Nölff - You’re a tard.
I second the most retarded blog nomination.
I didn’t realize I was mad. Once again liberals telling me how I feel. I’m rather jubilant. Saddam’s on trial, and liberalism is about to die the death it so richly deserves. And your right, the Republican partry sucks, and you guys still can’t get libs elected. I’ll change my name from Apostle to Happy.
The reason the far-right folks are angry isn’t that they feel threatened; this would require insight, of which by defintion they have none. They’re angry simply because people like Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity insist that they should be. If I were dumb enough to be convinced that a great many Americans want to swipe my civil liberties, steal my guns and Bibles, institute a radical Islamic government, and convert my kids to homosexers, I’d be mad too. But I have this crippling flaw of being educated and being able to think for myself.
“Saddam’s on trial, and liberalism is about to die the death it so richly deserves.”
These unrelated by juxtaposed statements are stupid on so many levels I’ll just quote them and leave it at that.
“I have this crippling flaw of being educated and being able to think for myself.”
Sure. Except you’re not. You’re letting Ted Kennedy and the commie-clan do your thinking for you. You have no facts, just more liberal spin. You’ve been educated with hippie ideology, especially to pretend that you have a clear grasp on reality. By the way Nolf, I do know all about McCarthyism and the Cold War. I think McCarthyism was a fad that should be reinstated. It protected us from Communist pigs that lie to the public. It also helped us win the Cold War, that and a CONSERVATIVE president that stood up to a murderous Communist government. I know, your heyday is over…don’t worry, some other Stalin or Castro will come along that you can rally behind.
Jay: I find it comical that so many posters have openly expressed their disdain for this site, yet they view and post on more threads than anyone, making it one of the highest rated blogs. Keep it up.
You’ve got quite the moonbat infestation here Jay. Which frankly is a good thing. If you’re pissing off the left so much as to get them to openly admit their utter contempt for the USA you are doing something right. No pun intended. I’m proud to be part of such a great group of people that make up StoptheACLU.com and I am proud of its continuing success.
apostle, we can bicker! not tonight especially not about this but I would like to bicker with you. Thats what the developed world was built on. But can we at leat build some boundaries, like I dunno the UN and geneva conventions. Deporting prisoners to a rendered country or calling people tards because you don’t agree but have nothing better to say.
Apostle I am not saying you do this but I get the picture that others of your ilk do and granted others of my ilk do.
I was wrong to assume that becasue it was a blog against the ACLU that it should come under law. Maybe it should come under anti law, but where would a republican be then? Anarchy just don’t sit right with you good ol’ boys!
John what is a moonbat, for further reference?
Apostle, we post here for discussion and open conflict of opinions.
Apostle, did Reagan really win the cold war? Or was it more that Russia fell, really I’m no commie lover but Korea and China could be the next big thing, although bankrupt and totally alien to the concept of human rights the rest of the world are just pandering to them at the moment. Similar to Hitler and the rest back then, it’s just this time they have trade!
Happy, that’s the spirit, appeasment!
last chance
ok
you are of the opion that my comments are spam. They are not, I want open dialogue, I want to be able to post my replys to your “tard” comments. You do not allow that, this is poor, weak willed, and cowardly. I thought America was made of sterner stuff!
haha! trying to block dissenting views
how very oh.. uh.. COMMUNIST of you
hilarious
you buffoons are too much
the scope of politics on this blog is so very very narrow its sad really
because someone disagrees with you they are therefore letting ted kennedy and a commie clan tell them what to think?
oh dear
one day america might have a real democracy, with more than 2 parties of greedy little thieves
not that you hams would recognize it
When was the last time the commierebel visited the north. There are more anti war cowards up there that are freezing their _ _ _off
Apostle is so used to being spoon-fed his own opinions in lieu of forming them himself that he’s litrally[sic] unable to conceive of alternative means of forming world views — you know, that pesky “look-at-both-sides-and-then decide thing” that we “moonbats” finds[sic] works well when dealing with complete human speimens[sic] rather than pseudolobotomized carnies.
apostle’s “news” comes entirely from Wingnut Daily, this site, and a handful of fat, dope-adicted[sic] radio hosts, Congrssional[sic] felons, and rottencrotch rabble-rourers[sic] like Ann Coulter, so he doens’t[sic] understand that others don’t cling to this sort of parochial chicancery.[sic]
“Jay: I find it comical that so many posters have openly expressed their disdain for this site, yet they view and post on more threads than anyone, making it one of the highest rated blogs. Keep it up.”
By that logic, that fact that the ACLU has so many of you spending your days ranting about it means it’s a highly rated organization, and encourages you to pursue your hapless quest to topple them to the bitter end.
The truth is painfully simple, apostle: You are easy marks. Swatting down everything written here becomes an exercise in figuring out just how many false claims and uninformed statements I can rip apart in 15 minutes or less, with no references. Among sensate persons this would be a formidable challenge, but here it’s just jumping through a few hoops (or tapping out a few keystrokes).
“You’ve got quite the moonbat infestation here Jay. Which frankly is a good thing. If you’re pissing off the left so much as to get them to openly admit their utter contempt for the USA you are doing something right. No pun intended. I’m proud to be part of such a great group of people that make up StoptheACLU.com and I am proud of its continuing success.”
Another master philosopher, I see. You[sic] belief is, “As long as you’re drawing fire, you must be making a positive difference.” Again, this means that with every burst of witless ululating you unleash in the general direction of the ACLU headquarters, those inside becme[sic] even more powerful.
You may wish to learn the difference between contempt for fringe Americans unworthy of citizenship and America itself. Your education-phobic, bloodthirsty, Jesus-[edited]‘ fact-discarding buddies on this blog aren’t representative of what most Americans think — you’re beyond parodic even by redneck Elmer Fudd standards.
And BV has the cahonies to critisize our spelling!
I’ll surely vote for you.
I’m a member of Stop the ACLU.
I’m in the awards for Best European Blog.

Bye to all
OK Sneaky: Russia lost the Cold War because Reagan out-mastered them in spending, and because they dumped billions of dollars supplying the NVA with weapons, while trying to maintain their own military might. BV: Your delusion that you successfully refuted anything on this site is stupidity surpassed only be the idiocy in your belief that you have a peg on anything. I thought liberals didn’t stereotype? Anyway, the ACLU fights against every civil liberty known to man, chiefly our freedom of public worship, unless you can show me in the Constitution where the establishment clause says that no government official can pray in Jesus’ name. Since you can’t, that would be a violation of civil liberties. Point for me. Lets go even further. A cross on public property is not the establishment of religion, because no one is forced to believe in it. That is the difference you clowns can’t understand, and I seriously think you need to check your reading comprehension. In order for the government to establish religion it would have to make Christianity law. Praying in school does not qualify, because no one if FORCED to actually pray. Crosses on court-house lawns doesn’t qualify because no one is FORCED to worship it and so on. These are only a few examples of our civil liberties being violated by the ACLU. Not to mention their protection of pedophiles. I’d rather be a religious zealot that locks his daughter up and teaches her she’ll burn in Hell for dancing then throw her to the rapists and pedophiles like you apparently would do. Otherwise, stop supporting the ACLU. I’d also like to point out that the so-called refuting you pull around here is based on pure assumption and speculation, fed to you by your liberal media. Example: I cite one source on this cite, and that cite is Wingnut.Daily. One time. In the eyes of a delusional liberal, that means ALL of my news comes from that cite. Interesting perspective. Boy you really wow us with your knowledge and firm grasp on socialism. Come back when you actually get some facts, maybe an education, and then we’ll be impressed. For now, let the grown-ups talk.
“good lord,
apostle is not very bright
please santa bring him a book for christmas”
Or at least the ability to break his rants into paragraphs.
To follow up the TB, Congrats on the nomination. And thanks for the Merry Christmas ACLU graphic. Lyn at Bloggin’ Outloud
The two annoyingly left-wing blogs (Needlenose and Roger Ailes) in the Top 501-1000 category are killing everyone else.
I think the conservative blogs are splitting votes.
If you want to help out, vote for WILLisms.
CommieRebel: If I’m not very bright, why didn’t you refute me? Because you can’t. You libs don’t deal in facts, speaking of ignorance. I guess you think Communism collapse was a big misunderstanding.
“You are the most ignorant person…”
Blah, blah, blah. How so? Is the ACLU NOT, more concerned with the rights of pedophiles than they are victims? Are you telling the sentences they recieve are adequate? If so, you need a CAT scan, and it is you that should not reproduce. I’d hate to see your child get molested and watch the offender move in next door with your blessing. As to the other arguments I posted, I guess the law doesn’t account for much with you guys. Sorry, I like my religious freedom, which the government protects. It does not protect anti-Christians from not being exposed to it. Unless you want to wake Jefferson, Franklin, Washington, and Hamilton from the grave and tell them their wrong.
“one day America might have a real democracy..”
I hope not. I like the Republic, especially when the Constitution guarantees me a Republican form of government. One thing that frustrates me more than anything, and I think both sides may agree with me, (or they both may not)is that in watching the news, both sides seem to pick the stupidest people to do the talking, and they both are always claiming a double standard in Washington. Over the years I watch story after story from either side that tries like hell to prove one standard over the other. DUH. Its politics. There is always a double standard from both parties and their always will be.
For the record, for those of the independant status, my state (PA, though I currently reside in Canada) passed a pay-raise increase for the legislature. What kind of audacity is that? Both Dems and Repubs got in on it, one even went on live T.V. and claimed the 68,000$ a year he made was not enough to put his kids through college. He’s saying that to people whose minimum wage is 5.15 an hour!
Sorry about that, I needed to vent. As you can see, my state has real problems.
“government endorsed religion..”
No its not. Try again. In any case, the Constitution says the government will not make laws respecting the establishment of religion. Not sure how Crosses in court houses is writing religion into law, which is all that clause protects us from.
So how does endorsing, expressing, or acknowledging equate to “making a law”?
By the way, if you’re going to use Jefferson as a spring board for your ridiculous interpretation of the Constitution, make sure you state that as president Jefferson spent government tax money on the conversion of Indians to Christianity. Make sure you also acknowledge that he advocated paid chaplains, prayer to the Christian God before every meeting of Congress…etc. Lets not forget Ben Franklin, who wrote the “necessity of a public religion and the excellancy of Christianity above all others” in his plan for education. Make sure you acknowledge that half of those that signed the Declaration used government funding to open Bible institutes.
Common sense: If prayer in school and crosses in Court houses were such a violation of the Constitution, our forefathers would not have placed them there. Thanks for coming out.
“So how does endorsing, expressing, or acknowledging equate to making a law?”
It doesn’t Jay. Those three words are not even in the establishment clause by the way. Nor does the Constitution prohibit a public prayer by our nations president, even if the assembly is required. No one is FORCED to pray with them. No one is FORCED to acknowledge any of it. They are FORCED to TOLERATE it. Public school prayer is not un-Constitutional either, but public schools sure as hell are. The Constitution I read gives adequate descriptions of the responsibilities of our government and education is not one of them. Privatize it like it was when our Constitution was penned and we won’t have these problems.
I VOTED FOR STOP THE ACLU! You guys are currently in second place with 240 with another blog at 247. You guys are winners no matter what happens. You have an oustanding blog!
First of all our Country was not founded on Muslim ideals, however, hypothetically speaking…I don’t object to Greek gods, or Roman ones that symbolize a significant ideal that is appropriate at certain buildings. The ten Commandments should be considered the same, as a symbol of law. The Blind Folded goddess of Justice is not a Christian symbol.
If the Muslim religion were taught in a school, I would object, but only to the degree of its hypocrisy of not allowing Christianity. Of course the easy way out is to conclude that no religion should be taught since we can’t possible teach them all, yet we can touch on them briefly in such classes as sociology.
Christianity has a lot of influence in our history and heritage…why do you wish to erase that? Rewriting history to how you wish it was is not an honest approach, and using the Court to impose laws restricting the expression of it in public is unconsititutional. A government official has the same rights to pray to whatever God they wish, as you have to worship yourself.
It doesn’t matter how many of the commandments are actual law, they are a symbol of law just as much as the blind goddess wearing a blindfold is a symbol for Justice…both recognized symbols. The majority of the ten commamndment plaques are not payed for by taxpayers, but are gifts from private organizations. Where tax money does get spent is when an attorney’s fee is payed for by the taxpayers to the ACLU’s attempt to remove them. It is exclusionary to remove them. Any private organization can give a gift, and it is not exclusionary to who can. Personally, I think the decisions of what is allowed should lie with the community involved…not the federal government, or the ACLU, and for sure not some Court.
No, you want to shove secularism up the majority’s a**. I don’t blame every liberal for rewritting history, it happens on both sides. I blame the ACLU for a HUGE chunck of trying to erase the parts of History that are Christian influenced, and that many hold dear.
There are Bible thumpers out there, but if you want to blanket all Christians that way, then it is you who has a problem. Go be an athiest, or whatever you are. Freedom is beautiful. Enjoy it while life lasts. No one can force you to look at a cross, its your insecurity if it offends you.
Off the original topic, but with an eye on recent comments: I’m curious as to whether the folks proclaiming a widespread “War on Christmas” feel that this kind of stunt is part of the purported attack.
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/southflorida/sfl-127boundsanta,0,6076874.story?coll=sfla-home-headlines
On the one hand, this is one rabble-rouser “abusing” Santa, who has little to nothing in common with what Christians allegedly celebrate at this time of year. On the other, Santa is easily the most recognizable American symbol of Christmas there is — much more so than Jesus himself.
Were I religiously inclined, I wouldn’t blink at this kind of display. The guy could have done the same to the Grinch, or the Easter Bunny, or a blow-up doll of Hilary Clinton. But his neighbors weren’t happy.
to all of you on the blog
i am interesting in hearing your views on this
what do you think of GWB sending a non religious holiday card and omitting christmas from it?
isn’t that what ‘liberals’ do?
nice work on editing and deleting posts as well as banning people
very american of you
“nice work on editing and deleting posts as well as banning people
very american of you”
Play by the rules or go to the house!
Its not like I pulled your feeding tube or aborted ya!
Swish a little gargle around in that sewer hole you call a mouth and try again!
Hello loboinok, tell us the rules and then we all know how to allow freedom of speech. I would love to know how to comment on your blog. A discussion is always best when there are at least 2 voices.
Merry Christmas everyone or should I say happy holidays?
Again, CommieRebel, since you missed it the first time, the Constitution doesn’t say the government can’t endorse anything. Show me the clause and prove me wrong.
“Does not infringe on one’s right to do anything.”
Sueing a public school because a student gave a public altar call most certainly does. The school didn’t endorse it (wouldn’t have broken the law if it did.) and no one was forced to acknowledge anything. The student acted alone, his right to do so protected by our Constitution, something you seem to want to misinterpret. The only limit on our government in this case is writing any religion into law. My 7 year old niece could figure that out reading the establishment clause.
As far as the whole War on Christmas: Christmas doesn’t need to include everyone. It is a Christian FEDERAL holiday. (keyword:Christ) Those non-Christians that want to celebrate Christmas are free to, but then must put up with the word “Christmas.” It is not a war on Christmas, rather a war on Christianity. When the ACLU asks the Islamic nation to change the name of its Holy Month to something that will include everyone than I’ll say otherwise.
“As I suspected silence about Bush’s elimination of Christmas from the white house holiday cards
you guys are fools.”
No you are, for thinking anyone cared. No one (at least on this cite that I know of) is demanding everything to do with Christmas has to say “Christmas.” I just want the ACLU to stop demanding that cards say “Happy Holidays” instead of “Christmas.” Let Stores should be able to sell the cards as saying either or both, but demanding one over the other is ridiculous.
BV: The cite you posted was rather interesting. He’s probably (and I’m speculating) some “Christian” doing this to prove some point regarding the whole “anti-Jesus” thing. Doing a helluva job too witnessing for Christ. This reminds me of the idiots up here in Canada at a local church that protested abortion by stamping hundreds of dead baby photos all over cars parked at the clinic. Classy. I’m forever and always against abortion, but I’m not sure what that accomplished. I’d punch the retard in the face if I caught them doing it. As far as the Santa abuser, I’d say that’s taking “War on Christmas” to a whole other level. Sadly, he has a right to do it. Maybe he has a bondage fetish.
Update: For those that might pretend to care about PA garbage, my earlier rant has had another log thrown on its incredible fire: masses are protesting common sense voting regulations that require voters to show proper ID. I guess proving you are an American citizen in order to vote in an American election is too much to ask these people. I guess illegal immigrants should be able to vote too. Ridiculous. Sorry guys, no more thread-jacking. My problems are my own.
The ACLU wil destroy this country and you screwed up libs will turn around and blame the GOP for it.
# Comment by CommieRebel on December 8th, 2005 @ 9:02 am edit
as i suspected silence about Bush’s elimination of christmas from the white house holiday cards
you guys are fools
Yet Bush is the only president EVER to include scripture in his “holiday card.” The only other one was Kennedy but they never got mailed out. Go learn something a**hat and try more thinking and less spewing. For your reading pleasure
Not that it’s not something everyone already knew…but thanks for proving my point. Now let one of the other inmates use the computer.
I now shall vote.
so putting scipture on a card and omitting CHRIST from it is alright
good to know
i can understand why you right wing parrots are so angry all the time
the republicans control all levels of gov’t ,
the demagogues prey on your ignorance and in turn get your votes and in return you get nothing,
more jobs overseas
massive debt,
the world hating you (not that you’d notice there was a world around you)
less allies.
a party that stands against abortion yet it is powerless to do anything about it.
you all do exactly what the republican politicians do, blame someone else, blame liberals who control nothing. blame the judges, most of which were put there by republicans.
blame everyone but yourself and your own xenophobic hypocrisy.
you’ve been duped by a band of war profiteers and greedy cowards.
amongst the republicans are people who want to teach your kids that adam and eve picked beans with the dinosaurs
i feel sorry for you
maybe unicef can send you some common sense
Wow you’re totally right CommieRebel. I can’t believe I didn’t see it before. I should be thinking like you and not falling prey to right-wing thought machine. I mean, all this time I’ve been just repeating what I’ve been told when, if I actually thought for myself I’d reach the same conclusions you guys have! Thank you so much for your guidance and hopefully I can be redeemed. I’m going to go convince a mother to have an abortion now. Merry Chri- Oops. I mean happy holidays!
And to quote your well informed and oh so eloquent site, “…remember kids freedom of speach is what it’s all about.” Unless you’re one of those dirty warmongerring conservatives who don’t think that men should have sex with little boys.
P.S. Let me know how I’m doing! I think I got this liberal “think for myself” thing down!
Jay ,
you know better than listen to some of these moonbats …anyway , I voted for you .. keep up the good work ..
Yes, putting Scripture (that’s S-C-R-I-P-T-U-R-E) on a card and saying happy holidays is perfectly fine. My argument isn’t that everyone has to say Merry Christmas all the time, so stop beating a dead horse in order to win a debate. My point is that the ACLU should not be trying to force businesses into removing Merry Christmas from their store. If the store chooses to too, without the threat of a law-suit, they can do so, and I won’t complain. Explain to me your argument with that logic?
“…the world hating you.”
They hate you too. But I guess you think the French would welcome a Dem rather than Bush huh? Or maybe we should do more to bridge the gap between us and terrorists? I didn’t realize we were here to make friends with the world. But I disagree: Iraq loves us. France will too the next time we have to liberate their wimpy butts again.
…”more jobs overseas…”
and an unemployment rate less than 5%, an all-time low. However, I would love to agree with you and tick-off the party-hacks of the Republican party. Here goes:
“a party that stands against abortion, yet is powerless to do anything about it.”
Yep. One reason why I’m furious with the second term of this administration so far. We have the majority, and could (should) make abortion illegal. But the R’s are playing politics. We have the judges, we have it all. Yet nothing in the Republican agenda is accomplished. The social security program should be totally reformed, if not eliminated (yes Americans are smart enough to save their own money and those that aren’t don’t deserve it and its not the governments job to support them and man was that a run-on sentence)
“Amongst the Republicans are people that want to teach your kids that Adam and Eve picked beans with the dinosaurs.”
As opposed to the libs that want to teach my kids that they were biological accidents? Yeah that’s brilliant. Much more intelligent that the universe exploded out of nothing even though the same scientists claim nothing can’t explode.
“…band of war profiteers and greedy cowards.”
The cowards that kill terrorists all over the world? Our cowards like Kerry who think we should ask permission of the entire globe before we can do the right thing? Or maybe you meant cowards like Clinton that played patty-cake with terrorists and let Bin-Laden go 4 times and arrested a handful of people after the first WTC bombing? Or maybe cowards like Carter who allow one of our nations best and biggest allies at the time to collapse and fall to a murderous Muslim regime, thrusting the Middle East deeper into oppression and terrorism than it has ever been? I’m sorry, just a little confused. All these cowards with D’s in front of their names…
But then again, you and your lib buddies can just tell me how stupid I am, how far above my head all your “intelligent” arguments are, and that you won the debate. That should settle it. I’m sure the majortity of Americans, of whom repeatedly disagree with you, are all incapable of understanding your half-baked idealism. Poor us.
With respect to your perfectly awful blog I’m reminded of the words of Marcus Aurelius, who said to always honor the human faculty which produces opinions, proving once and for all that he never met you.
Good luck in the voting, though!
You have the Yak’s vote. Daily.
You got my vote…went there right away!! Will return to vote again in 24 hours!
“And to quote your well informed and oh so eloquent site, “…remember kids freedom of speach is what it’s all about.” Unless you’re one of those dirty warmongerring conservatives who don’t think that men should have sex with little boys.”
That’s a really good point. Why is it that liberals can say any nasty thing they want, and hide behind free speech, but when someone offers a dissenting viewpoint, they get vilified? It’s as though the prevailing attitude is, “You have freedom of speech — as long as you’re saying the same things we are.”
Good news! A friend of mine who works on the Hill says the House is preparing a Christmas Protection Act to shield employers and towns from being sued over Christmas displays. This is very preliminary and, at best, third-hand, but I’m hopeful about this.
