” This is a major blow to the anti-war fringe lefties!”

Why would lefties support a GOP bill?

Ya, know what was so funny. While the democrats were busy giving speeches of how patriotic they were and voting against the immediate pull out from Iraq, the rank and file were calling into C-SPAN with all the demorcrat talking points demanding we pull out immediately.

Because Actus, it is the bill they have been wanting.

On another thread you mentioned that the GOP Resolution wasn’t the Murtha Resolution. Thsi is true.

The Murtha Resolution pretends to claim it is for the troops coming home, but gives the administration an out with the words “”at the earliest practicable date” while the GOP version took out that cowardly, politically motivated, face saving phrase and inserted “the deployment of United States forces be terminated immediately”, a change of words that would show just how committed the left is to the anti war rhetoric they spew.

Face it Actus, the left won’t back up their words with actions. They are cowards.

But what does one expect from a party of whiny, ugly women, old coots that had honor and glory…once, and a bunch of sissychickens**t men?

So there you go. The GOP changed the words. Its not what the left wants but what the GOP thinks the left wants. Typical dirty tricks.

Also you missed the part as to how the GOP changed it into a non-binding sense of the congress resolution. They also took out a bunch of the whereas clauses.

But, as you point out. its not what the left proposed. Its what a republican thinks the left proposes. No surprise its not the same thing.

“Face it Actus, the left won’t back up their words with actions. They are cowards.”

Cowardly is editing someone elses words and claiming you represent them fairly.

Has anyone thought of persuading the Iraqi government to start up a draft? We had a draft when we had Vietnam and we lost 55,000 soldiers and god knows how many mamed for life.
What’s wrong with them having a draft. That will soon tell you if these people want their freedom.

it was very entertaining watching the Democrats complain about besmirching the name of their favorite war hero/ Congressman Murtha. I never saw any of them cry foul when the leaders of their party, Reid,Kennedy,Pelosi,Durbin and others too numerous to mention, called our President a liar and someone who deceived the American People They can’t take it, but they think they can continually dish it out without anyone calling them on it.
