Al Jazeera Taking The Words From The ACLU’s Mouth

Posted on August 15, 2005

Completely stolen from Bob at Sweet Spirits Of Ammonia
The following is a quote from an article at Al Jazeera

The Pentagon is trying to block the release of new video evidence of prisoner abuse at Iraq’s Abu Ghraib prison, arguing that they would incite public opinion in the Muslim world, according to documents unsealed in federal court in New York.

According to ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero, the real reason the Pentagon is trying to stop the release of the new video and photos is because it demonstrates “the failure of American leaders who placed our young men and women in compromising situations and are now seeking to blame them for it.”

The ACLU is feeding the frenzy of the Islamic maniacs by its undisciplined presumption. Knowing full well that if these images are made public, there will be more rioting and attacks the ACLU continues to press for their release. There is no reasonable doubt that making the video public will not only assist the muslim terrorists in recruitment but will also endanger the lives of our military and civilian personnel throughout the muslim world and beyond.

If anyone is guilty of trying to place our young men and women in harm’s way it is the craven confederacy of the ACLU.

Do not point your accusing finger at our military leaders, Mr. Romero, we have met the enemy and it is you.

Bob is right. Make sure to follow the Al Jazeera link and read some of the hateful, and loony comments left there.

The Jawa Report has a nice round up of propaganda from the “religion of Peace.”

I also notice that al-jazeera gave us not just the ACLU’s words, but also the pentagons.

I think we need to add “stop Al Jazeera” to our cause. I have been against them all along as they help the terrorists!

Yup, must be the ACLU’s fault. Are we forgetting that if there were no abuse in the first place, then there would be no evidence?

I’m not denying the potential fallout, but the issue isn’t the ACLU, but the way the detainees are being treated.

    Seen any beheadings lately?
Seen the video of a plane full of innocent people being flown into the world trade center?
I don’t have to see videos of our enemy, but who gives a rats behind how terrorists are treated after they are captured?
    I don’t.
Pull their fingernails off one at a time, do anything to find out what they have planned.
Not politically correct, but the way to win a war.
We can’t win the war on terror, until the ACLU is sent packing.

WebLoafer has it 100% right. I’d also like to ad that humiliation is NOT torture. These jackass Liberals and commie groups like the ACLU thrive off of making a non-issue into a big frigging deal thus underminind the war effort.

Stop your blame shifting. The ACLU did not enrage the terrorists, it’s Bush’s pointless invasion of Iraq.

It’s not the liberals, it’s not the media, it’s not the ACLU, it’s not Cindy Sheehan, it’s not John Kerry, it is GEORGE BUSH who invaded Iraq and threw gasoline on a fire that threatens to burn everyone in America.

Each one of you who voted for him is complicit in the anger of the terrorists. It is undeniable, and I hope you sleep well at night.
